About us

The Pemberton Valley Snowmobile Club (PVSC) is a non-profit organization dedicated to protecting access and preserving adventure for snowmobilers in the Pemberton Valley.

We are responsible for maintaining access to the Rutherford Valley trail, the primary gateway to the Pemberton Ice Field (commonly known as the Pemberton Ice Cap). This iconic riding area offers vast and diverse terrain suited to riders of all skill levels — from beginners discovering the sport to experts seeking technical alpine lines.

PVSC also maintains an emergency-use-only cabin located at the end of the Rutherford trail, providing critical support for safety and rescue operations in the backcountry.

In recent years, our operations have expanded to include trail grooming and access management along the Hurley Forest Service Road, as well as Miller Ridge access parking (ungroomed, limited parking). These efforts help ensure continued, responsible access while balancing safety, sustainability, and respect for the surrounding environment.

The PVSC is a member-driven club, always welcoming new riders who share a passion for snowmobiling and the mountains we ride in. We host monthly meetings on the first Tuesday of every month at 6:30 PM at the Pemberton Legion, where members can get involved, stay informed, and help shape the future of snowmobiling in the valley.

If snowmobiling is your passion, we’d love to have you join us.
